Bedding supports are used in
addition to the conventional three point fixed supports.
The low profile (unit 1" thick) can be easily slid
under the work piece and positioned where the cutter is most likely
to chatter and vibrate.
The spring-loaded plunger is first depressed
and held down with the lock handle. Once positioned at the desired
point, the handle is released. The plunger pops up to contact the
bottom of the part. Turning the handle will tighten the plunger to
support loads up to 1,000lbs.
A 1/2-13 stud can be threaded into the
plunger to raise height of the support.
The adjustable handle can be
reset to any out of the way angle.
Case hardened alloy steel, parts
black oxided and ground parallel.
